The Honourable House of Alscher is a large, pure-blooded, wizarding family originally from Germany which emigrated to Britain in the late 18^th century. It has ties with several British pure-blooded families such as the Black and Gaunt ones; though they are also related to mixed muggle and magical heritage families such as the Crowleys, which they do not hide.

History

Early History

The Alscher family consists of an ancient line of pure-blooded wizards and witches, most of whom attended either Drumstrang or Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where they were traditionally sorted into Hufflepuff house.

Recent History

Athene Crowley, related to the family through her mother, has stated that their views towards blood-purity were not as strict as the likes of the Blacks. As seen by their refusal to disown Zephrine, a known squib who married a muggle detective.
